Los Angeles experienced widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Victory Parade Draws Enormous Turnout
Local events featured a procession through the city center on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and spontaneous parties throughout the city.
Online footage depict countless of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen traveling proudly on a double-decker bus through the crowds, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.
