Devoted fans of the actress are urging that a individual who breached a barricade and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be arrested or expelled from Singapore.

A viral footage reveals the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside media personnel and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram recently that he was "free after being arrested", though legal records indicated that he was scheduled to appear on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was charged.

History of Event Invasions

This is not an isolated incident for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a performance. His Instagram account includes clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at Katy Perry's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is evidently a legal violation," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his act.

"Oh wow so you do this a lot... how aren't you in jail?" one Instagram user remarked.

Followers Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Several supporters accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming many.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said a further comment on Instagram.

Several attendees also questioned security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some called for digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the man. Her fellow actors Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was escorted away by guards.

Grande has remained silent on the incident, and the remaining proceedings continued without further issues.

Many of attendees had gathered in a crowd of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including some who had waited for as long as a significant duration before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on 21 November, is the second of a two-part adaptation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which centers on the surprising relationship between two very different characters.

The show itself is a adaptation of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the character Glinda Glinda, was adorned in a champagne pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a black tube gown decorated with roses.

They were joined by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful film of the previous year in the UK, and scored ten Academy Award nods, securing several for outstanding attire and production design.
